What does biblical goodness actually look like in everyday life?

In this episode of Better Together, Pastor Jason and Christy Duff continue their series through the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5, focusing on goodness.

Goodness goes beyond simply being kind. It carries the idea of generosity and actively becoming a benefit and blessing to others. As Christy explains, it is a proactive kindness—a willingness to pursue people with goodness rather than waiting for them to deserve it or expecting something in return.

Jason and Christy also remind us that goodness is not something we can simply produce through human effort. It is the fruit of the Holy Spirit working within us. Like David prayed in Psalm 51, we can ask God to create something within us that does not naturally exist.

When we recognize how good God has been to us, His goodness can begin flowing through our lives into the lives of others.

The question becomes: Is my life leaving others better because the goodness of God is flowing through me?
