The Holy Spirit - Helping and Hindering the Spirit

In this final message of our series on the Holy Spirit, Pastor Jason Duff looks at what Scripture says about helping and hindering the Spirit’s work in our lives.

We can resist the Holy Spirit, grieve the Holy Spirit, and even quench what He desires to do in us. But God has also shown us how to cultivate a life where His Spirit can work freely.

Through God’s Word, we will look at three simple responses:

Cry out — ask God to fill you with His Spirit.

Cultivate — remove the things in your life that resist, grieve, or quench His work.

Commune — spend time with Jesus through His Word, prayer, worship, and fellowship.

The Christian life was never meant to be lived in our own strength. As we surrender to the Holy Spirit and keep our eyes on Jesus, He transforms us to become more like Him.
